Kee Fryxell
Head Golf Professional

Kee is in his 3rd season as Head Golf Professional at Charleston CC. He is a native Iowan and the son of US Army retirees. He graduated from Saint Ambrose University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Davenport, Iowa. He is a member of the PGA of America. Most recently serving as Assistant Golf Professional at Pinnacle Country Club in Milan, Illinois. As a young man he competed in over 400 national golf tournaments across 45 states and continues to have a passion for junior golf. He is a former member of Tiger Woods National Golf Team and was a fully exempt golfer with the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA). When not on the course he likes to spend time with family and friends, practice martial arts, travel, and participate in outdoor activities. Kee is an active member of the Catholic Church.

DAN OCHS, JR
Superintendent

As course superintendent at the club, Dan Ochs Jr. boasts a wealth of knowledge and experience in golf course management. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agronomy from Mississippi State University, where he majored in golf and sports turf management. Most recently, he was course superintendent for 12 years at Lakewood Golf and Country Club, Tullahoma, Tenn. Before that, he served as first assistant course superintendent for five years at the prestigious Tournament Players Club at Sugarloaf, Duluth, Ga., where the Bell South Classic was played and where the Mitsubishi Classic is now played. In his first job out of college, he was assistant superintendent of construction at Greenscapes, owned by Robert Trent Jones Jr. All of which has aided him and his grounds crew to keep the Charleston course one of the nicest in downstate Illinois.

ANGIE MILLER
Bookkeeper

Angelia “Angie” Miller has been the club’s bookkeeper since March 2019. She is a graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University and was a certified public accountant for 18 years. She then taught at Sparks Business College for four years and then worked for HOPE, the Coalition Against Domestic Violence. Before joining the club staff, Angie was a bookkeeper for Gowin Park senior living centers. Originally from Cowden, Angie has lived in the Charleston area for 38 years. She has been married for 37 years to Larry Miller, who is a retired Charleston School District custodian.
